I also have The Lake District practically on my doorstep and a progressive little football club blessed with "Charlton like" supporters a ten minute walk away. Morecambe FC are a real family club, play in red and white and have a lot in common with CAFC (me included)Terry Morecambe Addickhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04066229920728795716noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6329889984642264422.post-13955885163397509922014-09-08T12:35:37.080+01:002014-09-08T12:35:37.080+01:00.Unfortunately one of the directors of Morecambe ....Unfortunately one of the directors of Morecambe , Peter Cross sent his company into liquidation ( 1 million debts) a year and a half a go and reopened under a very slightly different name, knocking this Charlton fan for about 30k .
no scruples and if we ever play them I may just have to visit the directors box .Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6329889984642264422.post-28219478369311834622014-09-08T11:50:43.446+01:002014-09-08T11:50:43.446+01:00997997Terry Morecambe Addickhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04066229920728795716noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6329889984642264422.post-23082997430586362992014-09-08T11:49:45.147+01:002014-09-08T11:49:45.147+01:00No Wyn, we have never played Morecambe. They were ...No Wyn, we have never played Morecambe. They were traditionally a none league club not so many years
ago. I'm not sure how long they have been in League 2, I will need to Google it. If ever you are in this area again you must get in touch (07788614506)and pay me a visit to see what you get for your money (housing wise). I bought a house here for "peanuts" that would have cost in the region of £1m in Greenwich or Blackheath. It is an unspoilt Victorian 3 storey typical stone fronted seaside house and is absolutely stunning. By the way, unlike you who was Christmas shopping at the time, I was actually at The Valley for the 7-6 Huddersfield gameTerry Morecambe Addickhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04066229920728795716noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6329889984642264422.post-16291020494177659072014-09-08T11:31:42.578+01:002014-09-08T11:31:42.578+01:00BTW, have we ever played Morecambe? I was in The Globe Arena (Morecambe's Lovely little stadium}for a prostate cancer charity football event .yesterday (Sunday 7th Sept) The weather was warm and sunny (yes, the sun does shine quite brightly in Lancashire. Morecambe must be one of the friendliest places on Earth and the club is held in great affection by the residents up here. Being Morecambe's Vintage Seaside Festival Weekend, we even had a flypast of Lancaster bombers over the town. Rest assured, In an area of MUFC, MCFC and LFC as well as Morecambe, I keep the CAFC "flag" proudly flying!
Morecambe AddickTerry Morecambe Addickhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04066229920728795716noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6329889984642264422.post-7375437370408380402014-09-08T08:59:44.906+01:002014-09-08T08:59:44.906+01:00Oyston has reported made around 50m during his tim...Oyston has reported made around 50m during his time in the prem pool fans said to me that he put the money towards his business adventures and not blackpool fc its a great shame seing a fantastic club like this go tits up because of crap chairman. The fa should step in and oust chairman like oyston from footy clubs we suffered the same with our previous regeme.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01382950313655481508noreply@blogger.com
