Steve from Petts Wood and I often wondered why Grant Basey couldn't be given a bigger role than kitman (indeed, he did run drills in the warm up), but now he has been appointed first team development coach to bridge the gap between the under 23s and the first team: Coaching role
He was forced into early retirement from the game by injuries, but took his coaching badges at the same time as Johnnie Jackson.
