Charlton win battle for striker claim

Unconfirmed reports from Bristol state that Charlton have beaten the Gas and Sunderland in a swoop for PNE striker Jayden Stockley.  It would be a loan deal until the end of the season: https://www.bristolpost.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/bristol-rovers-sunderland-set-miss-4914704?fbclid=IwAR02K2nPYdS3KHEO-x6qlnzz8vUEAYooBc67magfqSGmbmWkht8KCqKOogE

Having someone who is 6ft. 2ins. could be useful, although he has been loaned out a lot in his career: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jayden_Stockley

Richard Cawley of the SLP has confirmed that Charlton are trying to sign Stockley on loan.

The loan deal with Stockley has to be agreed by 12 noon if he is to feature against Swindon tomorrow: https://londonnewsonline.co.uk/charlton-athletic-look-to-nail-down-loan-deal-for-preston-striker-jayden-stockley/

Richard Cawley is hopeful this can be done, although it was hoped to conclude a deal at the weekend so that he could have featured against Peterborough.

Jayden Stockley has arrived at Charlton and has been training with his new team-mates today: https://londonnewsonline.co.uk/charlton-athletic-win-race-for-preston-striker-jayden-stockley-with-lee-bowyers-old-connections-paying-off/

Richard Cawley has suggested that his arrival may mean that Omar Bogle will seek new opportunities elsewhere, news that has been received calmly by supporters.

Some fans think that we should have signed a defender rather than a striker, but it is a question of who is available within the salary cap.  Famewo has been running this week.
