Reports are circulating that we are talking to Southampton about midfielder Dean Hammond. He has fallen down the pecking order there. He could be a replacement for Dale Stephens if he left.
With Stephens staying, Hammond went on loan to Brighton.

Well, with Villa now upping their bid, I would expect to see Stephens out and Hammond in before the window closes tonight.
As Villa have signed some Bargains already. Maybe the Stephens deal rumoured at 1.4m is dead. Shows we are not as skint as some thought. Hammond would indeed add some steel in the centre and may come anyway
