Charlton face challenge at Stadium MK

It's eight years since we failed to win any of our first three league games in the season so we have to hope that Charlton can collect all three points at MK Dons tonight.

The midfield was disappointing at Oxford.   Fans' ire has focused on Albie Morgan, but DJ was poor and Dobson and Clare also failed to contribute enough.   Dobson was particularly disappointing as he had been effective against Sheffield Wednesday.

Charlie Kirk will be travelling with the squad, but that implies a role from the bench at best.

New MK Dons coach Liam Manning trained the players for the first time yesterday, commenting 'the guys don't have an idea of what I want, so that is difficult for them.'  Manning was formerly with Belgian First Division B side Lommel.

Manning said that he was excited by what he saw in Saturday's 1-2 defeat at home to Sunderland.  'We had good control of large parts of the game and created lots of chances, but what we can't do is switch off.'

Four Four Two reckon that the Franchisees will finish 8th, saying that they are 'tantalisingly close to becoming a serious force.'   The author of the fan file thinks they will make the play offs.
