Fate of women's team

Little more has been heard on this subject, but a balanced piece in the Telegraph suggests that it might be possible to keep it going for £28,000 a year (it's the second story so scroll down):
Women

Hmmm, its an interesting story, but I wonder where the Telegraph gets their figures from. One of the girls doing a back of fag packet calculation, maybe. I think the time has come for the club to come out with a statement regarding any future of the Womens side of the Club, even if it is for them to say, "We looked at it, we could not find a sponsor the Womens section is over!". Communication is all we want. As much as there are many supporters of the Womens side, at the end of the day, we support the mens team and whilst there will be a muttering and a churning, we'll still go down to the Valley and still follow Charlton. Its the old adage, men may change their women, bit they will never change their football club and its that that the Club can rely on.

Oh yes and while they are at it, its about time to update the website by removing the womens team section from it, no point in taking the cudos falsely
