Let me loose on Addicks pleads Bothroyd

Former Addicks player Jay Bothroyd has pleaded with Wolves supremo Mick McCarthy to be let loose against his former club at Molineux on Saturday. The news has caused fear and consternation at Sparrows Lane where Bothroyd was known for his eye for goal against lower league clubs and his high work rate.

Maybe he will come back to haunt us Wynn, remember he can take a good free kick if nothing else.

He can and often players score against their former clubs. He couldn't make the grade in the Premiership, perhaps he can in the Championship. But if he is that good, why haven't Wolves used him more often? He always struck me as a bit lazy, the sort of player who would hang around and wait for the ball to be delivered to him.

He was definitely lazy and not generally that good, but the season before last he came off the bench and won us 10 points. We might have stayed up if he had done same last season.

Perhaps I'm being a bit hard on him but he is a Wolves player now.
