Curbs: selling Parker was my big regret

Talking to players at Dorking, Alan Curbishley has said that his great regret as a football manager was selling Scott Parker. Without the sale Curbs reckons that the Addicks would have had a top five finish that season and who knows what the history of the club then might have been. It is one of the great 'if onlys'. Maybe his biggest regret should be not sufficiently replacing Parker. I remember there were rumours for example about us buying Van Bommel at the time...

I didn't think he had much choice in the matter. Parker refuse to play once Chelsea showed an interest.
