I'm amazed that we were prepared to pay a salary of over £550k pa. I'm thinking of getting my boots out again. Great shame that it wasn't enough as Igor badly needs a strong striking partner if we are to challenge for promotion this year.

there's a bloke at Swindon called Michael Smith...he's banging them in too....he'd do alright up front for us.....oh that's right we let him go for a song and I bet his wages are pretty low
A bit worrying! surely CAFC could have ascertained Mr Melos wage expectations in a simple conversation before wasting their time and money bring him over and giving him a trial! Nearly double £11-£20k is too big a difference to close with a charm offensive. Hell, I don't know the full story, but this all seems a bit amateurish to me. Business savvy at the Valley please.

Problem solved, send the Brazilian home (UKIP) and Spanners. Spend the money on the French geezer (Pro EU) Lab Lib. Put Brian G. up front on a minimum wage, zero hours, pay as you score, contract (Tory). Some simple questions first though Brian do you have two feet (literally) have you ever had any football related illnesses or nicknames, that can be repeated?

In response to the last posting, I am, of course, prepared to play for nothing for the club that I love. In any event, more than a couple of grand a year would have serious tax implications for my pensions. However, despite recent failed attempts, I would sincerely hope that we could find someone bigger, fitter and younger, if not better, than me.
I think you'll find the figures quoted are Euro's so deduct about 25% to convert.
