The best players are likely to leave and we will be saddled with those who haven't made the grade, often expensive purchases as with Sarr. Moreover, there will be no emergency loan window next year, although players brought in under that arrangement have often failed to contribute.
What we need is a systematic and informed recruitment strategy with someone who knows what they are doing in charge and are allowed to get on with it.
