Owls players fight for their places

16 Sheffield Wednesday players are out of contract in the summer and they have been told to fight their places against Charlton on Saturday: Fight for your perch

Wednesday appear to have a number of defensive worries ahead of the game which suggests that we should go for an attacking formation, although Igor seemed worn out on Tuesday.

Last year we won 3-2 at Hillsborough after a 2-0 defeat the preceding year. This year's match is a classic mid-table league clash with the Addicks one point ahead of the Owls.

Sheffield Wednesday have won only one of their last five games. Their only win since 7 March was 3-2 at Rotherham on 21 March. The Owls have won only one of their last eight home games. Their only win at Hillsborough since Boxing Day was 2-0 against Middlesbrough at home on 28 February.

Yoni Buyens and Chris Solly have completed their suspensions. Johnnie Jackson is heading back towards fitness, but is unlikely to feature.

All the officials are from 'oop north including referee Darren Bond who presided over our humiliation at Watford and our 0-1 home defeat by Ipswich. Helen Byrne will be one of the linespersons. The 20-year old is the youngest person in the country to become a level three referee: Helen Byrne

Odds are: home win, 21/20; draw, 21/10; away win 16/5.
