McLeod mystery

According to the E-mail bulletin, Millwall say that Izale McLeod has returned to Charlton, presumably as uwanted goods, but Phil Parkinson says the matter is far from resolved. Moreover, the shell shocked supremo clearly doesn't want him back saying that he can't play him either in the first team or the reserves.

Why is not clear. Is he thought to be too poor even for the reserves (where Zheng Zhi is making his long awaited oomeback, sadly too late)? So much for our strike force.

Maybe part of the 'extra' £500k of his transfer fee is due after he makes another appearance?

I would be relucant to play him even once if it was going to cost us more money, especially as I doubt he has a long term, or even medium term for that matter, future at Charlton

I heard some blokes behind me talking about this on Tuesday. They were saying he had a big falling out with the manager which now seems irreconcilable. First Randalph and now him...

My understanding is that the nature of the loan was that he could not return to the Valley, and his registration was such that he could only play for Millwall.

Seems daft for a youngish player seeking 1st team football to have a hissy fit at the one place where he was likely to get some games, but then footballers were never blessed with an abundance of grey matter.

There are 11 games left and we need to win at least 8 if we are to stay up, this will not happen, so what we need to do now is hand back all loanees unless we are keeping any next year, and start playing a team that will succeed next season, a mixture of experience and youth. If this club doesn't start thinking ahead a few seasons we could well cease to exist. Lets look to the positives we support a club that are up and down like a brides nightie, we have high's and low's bigger than Gazza. How boring would it be if we were mid championship team for 20 seasons running. We have won council elections and scored 23 goals at wembley in one game, I'm Charlton till i die and i love it!!!!ok im frustrated

Why send back the loanees back? It's not like we have loads of brilliant youngsters knocking on the door. Also the team of non-loanees now will look nothing like the team that's going to start next season as no doubt half a dozen will leave and we'll get new faces in.

It's because it's a half season loan, not an 'emergency' or short term loan.

He can't be recalled, so by them terminating the loan he still can't play for us.

Nothing to do with his lack of ability (though that's exactly why he is out on loan in the first place) or payments to MK Dons.

More about it there. It's the rules preventing him from playing, can't even play for our reserves.

Because he's fallen out with Kenny Jacket, they don't want him there and obviously therefore want him off their wage bill.

We want him to play football, and he can't here until next season.
