Interesting to see what our 'Kent derby' rivals have to say about Chris Dickson:
'Gillingham manager Mark Stimson says he has been disappointed with long-term target Chris Dickson. Stimson pursued the Charlton striker for two years before he finally signed a three-month loan deal in February. But he has not played in the last two games and Stimson opted to use Dennis Oli as a substitute ahead of Dickson in Saturday's 0-0 draw at Stockport.'
"When you saw Chris and what he brought to the table, Dennis brought a bit more," Stimson told BBC Radio Kent. "Twice he (Dickson) had the ball in the middle of the pitch and he gave it away and put their team on the attack," added Stimson.
We could have told him that, but it was a nice piece of business to offload Dicko, although I don't suppose we are saving much.
Apparently McKenzie is out injured for three weeks. Rather than bring in the hardly ever fit McKenzie, the lightweight Mooney and Akpo Sodje (the best of the bunch), it would have been better to get one higher quality striker in on loan.
