The news that Johnnie Jackson will be out for six weeks with a hamstring problem is not good news ahead of tomorrow's clash with Millwall at the New Den. Jackson has made a positive impact on the side since joining on loan, but even more worrying is the lack of cover. Kelly Youga is only just coming back to fitness, Grant Basey is out for the rest of the season and it's a big ask for Chris Solly to slot in in such a needle game. Whether there are any options I don't know, but someone like Llera would be too slow in that position.
The home game against Millwall was one of the most frustrating season when we sacrificed a lead to end up with a 4-4 draw. It was certainly exciting, but those two points lost could turn out to be particularly important at the end of the season.
Millwall have dropped only four points in their last twelve games and are clearly the in form team. Spirits are understandably said to be high in their camp. I do not have a good feeling about this game and I am forecasting a 2-1 win for Millwall. Paul May will be making the journey up from Erith to cover the match.
