Charlton swoop for striker

Richard Cawley of the SLP reports :'Charlton looking to get a deal done for former QPR striker Conor Washington. He was at Hearts last season.'

He was one of the higher paid players at relegated Hearts, but a hamstring injury blighted the first half of his season with them.

Edinburgh sources are saying that a two year contract at Charlton is almost agreed.   The Northern Ireland international has been keen to return to England.   He was born in Chatham.

He started his career at St. Ives Town while working as a postman:

Ben Amos has extended his contract at Charlton for a year:

This means that all three players at the club who had the option to extend their contract have done so, starting with Forster-Caskey.
