Bowyer: 'we ain't ready to compete'

In an interview with BBC Radio London, Lee Bowyer has admitted 'We ain't ready to go in and compete. Our numbers just aren't enough, we have to bring in more players.'

The shell shocked supremo said that he needed five more players. Midfield was a particularly deficiency and 'a lot of games are won and lost in the middle of the park.' Two more players were needed up front.

Referring to the bench against the Villa game, Bowyer said that Albie Morgan was not ready for the Championship. Lapslie might be ready, but there was a question mark there. Brendan hadn't even played in League One. Five or six weren't ready. 'They're kids and it wouldn't be fair to chuck them in.'
