Charlton without Taylor

The SLP's Richard Cawley reflects on Charlton's defeat to Birmingham last Saturday and reckons that in a tight contest Lyle Taylor could well have made the difference: Charlton miss injured striker

Cawley notes that Lee Bowyer has been understandably vague about how long Taylor will be out, but reckons it could be eight to ten weeks.

Cawley also points out that only four goals have been scored by other out-and-out strikers for Charlton in the last 27 games – Vetokele chipping in with three and Jonathan Leko also on target.

Inevitably, Charlton's defeat had to have a Leamington connection with Birmingham's winning goal scored by the son of their former ace striker Mark Bellingham.
