Thomas on his way?

Jerome Thomas has been linked with a move to Portsmouth, although this seems somewhat unlikely given that they have just signed Glen Little from Reading. This could be the start of an exodus from the Royals which casts doubt on the view that they will storm to the top of the Championship and stay there.

Thomas was not specifically discussed at the bloggers' meeting with Richard Murray, although the general view was that we were well catered for on the wings compared with central midfield. The departure of Thomas could contribute to the planned net outflow of players and would probably not be greatly regretted by most of the Addickted.

He is not without talent, but his ability to penetrate opposition defences is offset by disappointing final balls either as shots (no goals this season) or crosses. His rather sulky demeanour, as if he is permanently regretting he is no longer a Gooner, does not help.

I would love to see him go. He for me sums up the attitude that we need to get rid of and replace with spirit we have seen in the past with the likes of kinsella and robbo. JT would not be missed

I know I am in a minority here but I really like him . At Bristol away last year , he got kicked mercilessly and he was still the best player on the pitch.
He is exciting to watch and would always be in my team
The worst player by a mile is Ambrose , he always flatters to deceive. Away from home it's the same as playing with 10 men

Ambrose and Thomas will suffer similar fates career wise. They are both talented boys who, for their different reasons, will never really make the grade. I'd like to see them both sold, hopefully for more money than we'd get if we waited a year.

i agree with anonymous number 2, i think he is one of the few players in the midfield who is always willing to take responsibility for the ball, i dont really buy this idea that he has a really bad attitude.

also agree re ambrose, why does everone think he is talented player? he cant beat a man, he finishing is far from exceptional and he hides continuously, get him out...

I think JT is probably the most talented and exctiting player we have had on our books for a while. But for whatever reason his runs rarely lead to goals. Maybe he isn't used in the right way, or other players aren't running into the right positions. But given the managers he has played under, and players he has benn with, it looks more like its down to him.
