Charlton are being linked with Leyton Orient defender/midfielder Romain Vincelot, but then so are a lot of other Championship clubs including Brentford and Leeds United, where the interest seems to be particularly strong. The one point in favour of Charlton is that we have an increasingly French-speaking squad.

The rumour mill has linked Roger Johnson who is being let go by Wolves. However, Sheffield Wednesday have a strong interest and he was one of the highest earners at Molineux.

its really a pain in the ass at the moment every single championship club are chasing the same players who are available how can we compete when the likes of brentford are snapping up every player we bid for?also leeds united as well along with millwall down the road.I just hope that peeters can get in quickly before any of these clubs gets wind of our bids
