No fear of Charlton for Owls

Sheffield Wednesday come to The Valley on Saturday with no fear of Charlton and ready to claim three points: Wednesday

The Owls have only lost once on the road this season, but have not won a game in their last six matches and have not scored in their last three. Another home draw then?

The Addicks are beset by injury worries with Gomez, Wiggins, Bulot, Vetokele and Gudmundsson all unavailable. The last two could be on bench, but it is thought that Vetokele could play for 15 minutes at most.

Andy d'Urso, the banker from Billericay, will be referee. I don't think he is biased against Charlton, I just don't think he is very competent and that can affect the course of the game.

Odds are: Charlton 19/10; draw, 21/10; Wednesday, 13/8.

Let's hope that Igor gets on at some time in the match for, as most of us predicted, we don't have a lot going on in the box without him on the pitch. Wednesday are always a physical team and they are very hard to break down this season. We will do well to get something out of this game with our current reduced squad.

I wondered why we'd recalled Lennon before Saturday but I see now that we've loaned Morrison out to B'ham for 2 months and doubtless he'll sign for them In January if he does well. Got to feel sorry for him for being frozen out at The Valley after showing his loyalty by signing a new contract in the summer.

It must have been very difficult for an experienced professional like Morrison to sit on our subs bench with the teenagers this season. If he was on it with a few other seniors and got few matches it probably wouldn't have been so bad for him.
It's another problem that arises from having so few squad players. Not surprised he's been snapped up though. Good luck MM and if we don't see you again
thanks for all you did.

Nonsense as usual JA you underestimate at your peril.
BP said, Igor might get 15mins, coming back so we can poss, count his influence out. Unless he proves a super sub, against a tired defence. A-G might get a start. I hope for a narrow victory, I'll take a 2-1.

Agree! Come on you reds
