There is no doubt, as Slater argues, that football today is a business and he praises Roland Duchatelet's acumen. Exactly what his style will be remains to be seen but, despite negativity in some quarters, it is too early to form a judgment.
In an interesting interview with the BBC, Chris Powell says that he is still uncertain what direction the club will take under the new owner: Powell. He is still trying to build a relationship and is adjusting to a new structure which will involve more Belgians in the day-to-day running of the club.
