Katrien Meire has been appointed to the Charlton board and will in effect act as Roland Duchatelet's representative, working from The Valley. Until now she has been Legal and International Relations manager at Standard Liege.
She has worked with three law firms that only recruit the brightest and the best: Freshfields, White & Case, Baker & MacKenzie. She has held a coveted 'stage' with the European Commission in DG COMP which deals with actions against football clubs for violating EU state aid rules (Swansea City are under investigation at the moment).
Duchatelet's statement on the Charlton web site seems measured and sensible to me.
