Hornets deny DeMerit reports

Watford have denied reports being carried by Sky Sports News that Charlton have made a £300,000 bid for American centre back Jay DeMerit. More here: Buzz You will note that Watford fans seem keen to get rid of him.

Actually, what they say is they have not 'received' the bid and it may still be on its way to Vicarage Road. Having been in London today and seen the transport chaos, the bid may be stuck in the snow somewhere.

Graeme Murty has extended his loan at The Valley for a further month. Martin Christensen, a signing on which a lot of money has been wasted, has returned to Denmark on loan with Lyngby until the end of the season. There may be an expectation that he will stay there.

Lyngby is a club where I have watched the Addicks play in a pre-season friendly in happier times. I watched the match from a grassy knoll.

I think that the board deserves some credit for not letting anybody go. I am sure there would have been takers for Weaver, Ambrose, Bailey, Moutouakil, Racon and in particular Hudson. Not too mention Zheng Zhi (Andy Reid was sold at this time last year although being injured). All of them are still there and all of them are proven players which should be good enough to ensure that we win a few matches from now on. And as soon as we win a few matches and some confidence comes back survival is a real possibility.

I admire your positivity , but if any offer above a quid had come in for Weaver or Ambrose , they would have got rid of them in a shot . ZZ won't be fit for another 4 weeks and is out of contract in the summer , so no one sensible would take him either . Hudson will go in the summer when we get relegated. Racon apparently fancies a 'bigger club' but since he's hardly ever been fit , he will probably have to stay

Re Lingby, do you mean shots on goal (not many of those as I recall) or photos - I have a couple somewhere.
