Owls look enviously at Charlton's summer signings

We have heard a certain amount over the summer from Sheffield Wednesday fans about how they think they are a bigger club than us, but now it seems that they think we have stolen a march over them in our summer signings:

We could have only dreamed if spending the amount of money we have this time last season. And for once we are attracting the right players. Players that know the league and are hungry and capable of getting out of it. I just wish Pardew had used the same thought process when we got relegated from the premier league. Buy good solid players with a hunger in their belly that want to prove themselves. But we have all been saying if and buts for the last few years and it's time to stop feeling sorry for ourselves. Powell and the board are assembling a positive squad. A couple of defenders and another forward and I will be really excited. Let's get behind them this year, give them time to gel and enjoy the second half of the season fir a change! Come on you reds!!!

its all well and good buying players, but it still may take them a while to gel, pre-season will not be enough - so dont get excited just yet.
