Cherries agree fee for Kermorgant

AFC Bournemouth have agreed a fee with Charlton for Yann Kermorgant according to Sky Sports News: Kermorgant

The fee is understood to be £500,000, a £100,000 advance on what was offered last week, and Roland Duchatelet has decided to cash in. Uncertainty over the future of Chris Powell has unsettled Kermorgant.

It is worth nothing that as Chris Powell mentioned to the Scottish Daily Record recently when Celtic were eyeing up both Kermit and Morrison is that both are free to agree a pre-contract deal as their contracts end in the Summer and any fee we would get for him (or both) would be likely to be nominal only.

If this is confirmed, I shall be very sorry to see Kermorgant go as the battling Breton has been a great servant to the club. Some of his set pieces have been spectacular. Unfortunately, he has not always got the service he deserved with long balls directed at his head.

Negotiations continue with Brighton and Hove Albion over Dale Stephens. Bournemouth are also reported to have expressed an interest in taking Rhoys Wiggins back who would certainly be a loss.

The club has confirmed that full back Loic Nego has signed on a three-and-a-half year deal for an undisclosed fee from our Hungarian sister club.

It a sickener and time Murray said something .... we've put up with the twat for a long time from selling Parker to appointing Dowie and Pardew and sucking up to Jiminez , time to speak up Richard as this club is being finally laid to rest!
Has Roland got a clue??

Thanks yann for the help but I think it's all over for charlton now .back to league one

Sad to see him go, but he has been plagued by injury this season and not as his best. Maybe CP saw that he was past his peak and decided to cash in. It's a shame, but hopefully we'll bring in Gucci to replace him

Typical Charlton doom and gloom. Wait until the end of the transfer window before judging the balance of the side. I think Roland does have a clue. He is a shrewd businessman who is assessing the strengths and weaknesses of the club and is not going to make hasty decisions. If that means rebuilding from League 1, so be it, although I am sure that he would prefer to remain in the Championship if feasible.

Rebuilding from League 1

I guess Pompey thought the same...

There is absolutely no validation of thinking we can afford to get relegated back to league 1 .

That's my son and I done with CAFC. I thought a new owner would support the positives we had at the club.
If we are now selling the players who played for CAFC we will not be renewing our Season Tickets. RIP CAFC.

This news fills me with a sense of doom. Perhaps this is due to the previous Board not renewing players contracts, but I think the new regime must also take some responsibility. Wynn suggests hat there may be a plan in place to bring in new players in the next two days, but add this to the possible loss of Stephens, no new contract yet for SCP and it looks like a major de-stabilisation. Its difficult see how we are going to stay up.
So thanks Yann for the commitment, entertainment and goals and best wwishes for the future.
