Alpasan Ozturk has not left Standard Liege and is likely to go to Turkey, but, somewhat surprisingly, they may loan us a goalkeeper. We do not really have a need there, but they do have two strikers who might come over on loan.
Standard Liege manager, Guy Luzon, said in an interview that Yohann Thuram is the only major player likely to leave Standard during the winter transfer window. Alpaslan Öztürk has not left Standard.
The transfer was announced on Saturday was a six-month loan without option to Charlton. But the Belgian-Turkish player said yesterday that he preferred to join Turkey , where many clubs are interested. A Turkish source said Öztürk will most likely be loaned to Kasimpasa for six months.
Guy Luzon also said goalkeeper Yohann Thuram is the only major player likely to leave Standard during the winter transfer window. Many Ligue 1 clubs where the goalkeeper still enjoys a large popularity are interested but in pole position at the moment is none other than ... Charlton ! It would be a free loan option: Standard understands that the player needs game time, which was not possible due to a combination of circumstances, but is not willing to let go permanently.
Astrit Ajdarevic is already officially on loan for six months, after Yohann Thuram, there are other Standardman possibly likely to join the London club before the end of the winter transfer window. Charlton need a striker and Standard have two who could possibly go on loan to Charlton. They are Dudu Biton and Reza Ghoochannejhad (the Iranian player we have discussed on this blog before).

I'm dizzy.
(And the word verification filter is ridiculous).
Wyn, please check that thing. Either some of that verification stuff is unreadable, or my Optometrist has some explaining to do.
I've taken out the link to the Belgian report which doesn't seem to work. It's in French and we have a translation so hopefully that will suffice.
Is the deal for takeover finalised? All very quiet are they now going through Legals and DD,with so little experienced management at club who will they bring in.Paul Elliott as Director makes no sense he has no experience and Murray as Chairman figurehead is fine but keep him away from money and transfers he has been a disaster there.
Have to wait and see what happens, but beginning to think this is going to be no better than before, then what?
As far as I know, everything is going ahead. Certainly the statements from Belgium suggest so. Whatever one thinks of the record of the previous owners, they were running out of cash. We need new investment and loan players offer one way of strengthening the squad. For the time being I am positive.
Money in is positive cant disagree. Loan done so far was an easy one as owner just moving chess pieces around. Worried that no statement or news about who has been paid and who hasn't,do banks still have mortgage on stadium, have ex directors been paid off,I am hearing 3 still banned.Rumours Slater went on holiday day before deal publicly announced are they doing DD while he is away?
Still a lot of unanswered questions and no press statements from new owner, all a bit strange.
Here are some concerns.
New owner buys Charlton and uses everyone of his other Club's as feeder clubs, the prize is to get Charlton into Premiership as that is his best way to pay off all his purchases of other clubs. We already see maybe as many as 3 players coming from Standard Liege rumoured, owners of Watford tried and are trying the same.Seems to me he won't be spending a lot of money on transfers and we will get a rotation of players and lose all team spirit .This will not be the takeover we all wanted but a cut price ,run at breakeven challenge to get up ,scary times ahead.
