Nicky Bailey's future on hold

According to Pravda Nicky Bailey's future and a possible move to Middlesbrough is on hold while the long-running Charlton takeover saga drags on:
Bailey

Phil Parkinson has praised Izale McLeod's attiude since he has returned to training, saying that bhe is fighting for his Charlton career. Perhaps he has now found his level.

The Addicks supremo struck a slightlhy exasperated tone when he said that he needed five more players to make a credible push for promotion. In particular he pointed out that he had only centre back signed up with the future of Jon Fortune still unresolved.

I was naively thinking that he was going to stay as there hadn't been many rumours floating round but it makes sense that we lose out best player.

I will ask the Question again Where has all the money gone? by my estimations somebody has cashed their chips.Even if you look at the 12 million spent 2 years ago over 50% has been recovered. They must have two set of books at the valley

That must be why it is taking so long with due dillegence.

No the problem with the due diligence is we are suppossed to have a 'footy' team.

I think a lot of the money went on wages, Andy Gray being a recent example. No one had their hand in the till. Some of the other comments suggest to me that there is still a lack of realisation that we are a third division club and the real challenge is to see that we survive as a club.

If it went on wages then whos to take the blame?Must be the Directors and primarily the Finance Director because he should have known they were not sustainable

Jon Fortune's on his way out - he played for Sheff Utd today. The last Galatico gone!

The wages would have been sustainable if the club had returned to the Premiership or if they had stayed in the Championship. Signing Andy Gray on such a high salary was a mistake. But all businesses make mistakes, they are just under less scrutiny from their customers than football clubs.
