Teams seek to overcome faltering form

Neither Nottingham Forest nor Charlton have been showing particularly good form recently with the two teams next to each other in the form table at 16th and 17th.

A headache for Forest is the one match suspension of striker Britt Assombalonga. Stuart Pearce may give Dexter Blackstock his first start of the season or get winger Michail Antonio to play further forward.

Charlton have, of course, plenty of injury worries of their own, notable absentees being Rhoys Wiggins and Stephen Henderson.

Charlton won the last meeting 1-0 at the City Ground in March - their only win in the last eight meetings in all competitions. Nottingham Forest have won two of the last five meetings at the City Ground in all competitions, drawing two and losing one. Forest lost 2-1 at Birmingham last Saturday, after winning their previous two games. They won their last home game 2-1 against Norwich on 8 November - their only win in the last five games at the City Ground.

It feels like we need and deserve something tomorrow after some recent setbacks and disappointments. I'm wishing for another commited performance and some luck. It should be a close run thing. COYR

It all depends what team turns up, with the Reds it's either all guns blazing or firing blanks, Dex might be a breath of fresh air.

I'm not sure what you are talking about JA. We have a fairly fixed team with BP tinkering to find Igor a partner, as we are a top striker short. Other than that. We've a couple in the squad who who've not really established themselves, yet. They've not played recently. Some prospects who are barely ready, they've not played. A player some fans don't like who's out injured and G.T. who's missed couple and mostly gets cameo roles. Deadwood shites, is a bit harsh on any of them. Try the civil service JA, diplomatic core, or the Roy Keane school of charm. lol

Who's Dex? Do you mean D. Blackstock if so he's a Forest player. A strange comment to put on a CAFC blog (got lost did we). I personally hope he has a stinker and he's a breath of stale air. No offence mate.

apologies one to many sherberts tonight! i think we shd drop the likes of Jackson and harriott who in my view are not good enough for our level we found ourselves at the moment i think both players are holding us back ,we should be starting with cousins into center midfield with perhaps give the likes of jack mumms a chance up front but we do need a change from the likes of jj and harriott if we are to get max points tomorrow.

Ok JA accepted, Captain JJ might need a rest or be off form at the mo. But we know that he's been a very good player at this level, who's not getting younger and he's what we've got. Would you drop him with Youni out injured, not the best time. Everyone who wrote reviews of the last game reckoned Harriott had a good game, but fluffed a chance. Jack Mumns would be playing out of position and has not been played in the 1st team or even been in the squad yet. So our captain and one of our hottest prospects are the deadwood shite. Being polite, I'm not too sure if your sober yet!

Halftime Notts Forest commentary "we want our players to play like C. Harriot". Shame JJ had to go off or we might have a second. Next week tell us Igor's shite will yer JA.
