Summer chat - £1m tag on Bailey?

Normally reliable Solent sources are reporting that Charlton have placed a £1m+ price tag on Nicky Bailey. What is more they infer that it is the banks who are insisting on this price rather than the club. If there is anything in this story, it is an interesting insight. But it is the summer.

28-year old central defender Liam Chilvers has been released by Preston North End and loose talk has linked him with Charlton. However, it seems that mighty Morecambe are already in the frame and he wouldn't have to move house.

Huddersfield too Wyn. He played for Parky at Colchester so that may be a factor. He is an Essex lad so may fancy a return to his roots.

If we get a million pounds for Nick Bailey, with just one year left on his contract, I'll be amazed!

No disrespect, but if he is worth £1m in this economic climate then The football world is more mad then I thought it was.

Sometimes people underestimate the worth of their own club's players. Bailey isn't a favourite of everyone, but he does get stuck in and he can score goals. That is worth sometime anytime.
