Charlton slip to 2nd

Brakes are off

Charlton fell back to 2nd after today's npower League 1 matches, next week's opponents Oldham going ahead of them on goal difference. With a number of draws in today's game and two matches called off, Charlton and Oldham are the only teams on six points.

Elsewhere, Leamington opened their Zamaretto Premiership campaign with a 2-1 win over the pride of the New Forest, Bashley. The visitors were given as soft a penalty as I have seen on 16 minutes to go ahead, but Brakes equalised before half time through Luke Corbett. Brakes piled on the pressure in the second half and got the winner courtesy of Owen Goal.
