Club to run two teams in league

The ice hockey season is about to get under way and on Sunday we go to the Skydome to collect our Coventry Blaze season tickets. Meanwhile, a shock development has been that last year's bottom feeders, Hull Stingrays, who had folded had been taken over lock, stock and barrel by Blaze.

The Coventry Blaze ownership team of Andy Buxton, Mike Cowley and Paul Thompson, along with Blaze General Manager, James Pease (he of the wobbly appearance on the ice last year when the team was short benched), have assumed full operational control of the Hull Stingrays.

It couldn't happen in football as Robert Maxwell discovered.
