Two new signings

The signing of Paul Benson has finally been completed but the fee has not been disclosed yet (but it may be £200,000 plus £50,000 if we go up). The BBC thinks he may make his debut in the paint drying trophy clash with his old club tomorrow, but I think that is less likely. The Charlton tradition is to give new signings a familiarity with the bench: Benson

Completely unheralded is the signing of 25-year old Joe Aniynsah on a free from Carlisle. Formerly at Preston North End, the attacking winger found the back of the net 12 times last season.

Unconfirmed reports state that Jon Fortune has signed until January.

Desperately scouring the lower leagues again....am I the only one thinking that last time this approach brought us Varney, McLeod and Iwelumo?

And we're still buying players who are 30+, for significant sums.

Whilst our backup keeper looks anything but secure.
