Charlton Athletic are reported to be one of a number of clubs in the race for Celtic and Republic of Ireland striker Cillan Sheridan. He is valued by the Glasgow club at £300,000, although CSKA Sofia have put in an offer variously reported as £200,000 or £500,000. Hibs are also in the frame, but the Easter Road outfit are thought to lack the readies.
He gave up Gaelic football to play for Celtic. He was out on loan at Motherwell in 2009 and at Plymouth Argyle last season. (Somewhat worryingly, one Plymouth fan has described him as 'rubbish'). Read more about him here: Sheridan
