Phil Parkinson has punctured the mood of modest optimism among Charlton fans by saying that the current squad is not good enough to win promotion: Squad
He reckons that you need 19 to 20 senior players to win promotion and at the moment we only have 13. Perhaps he is putting some subtle pressure on the board, although he was full of praise for Richard Murray.

I think you'll find he said that a month ago and we have signed six new players since then as well as signing up some of our existing players that were out of contract.
you cant get promotion if you cant score goals, and i cant see where the goals are going to come from? Akpo Sodje is a waste of time! Our two top scorers from last season have now gone and they need to be replaced, the squad stil seems weak, we need atleast another five. and we should do everything we can to re-sign john fortune. And make llera useful and use him as a ball boy or something becasue he isnt even bromley quality.
