Dyer in as No.2

A number of different sources are reporting that Alex Dyer has been appointed as assistant to Chris Powell. One of them is here: Dyer

It is still possible that Dean Kiely will be brought in to strengthen the backroom staff.

Dyer played for Charlton on loan in 1990 and was then signed for £100,000 by Sir Lennie Lawrence, a bargain price considering he cost Palace £250,000 only two years later.

Dyer has proved a popular coach at the Hampsters where he has been in charge of the reserve team.

What a crap league this is, at least thats what almost everyone says. I mean Notts only managed a draw against Man C, Hudds lost away to Arsenal 2-1, Orient only won 2-1 away to Swansea, Southampton lost at HOME to Man Utd by clear 1-2,and Brigthon only managed a 1-0 win away at Watford....

Indeed. I had the misfortune to be at the Arsenal Huddersfield game. Whilst the Terriers were not very threatening, they certainly had a couple of decent chances when the Gooners were down to ten men, and in the end they were lucky to go through thanks to yet another very odd Clattenburg decision. The Saints first half performance against a lacklustre Man U was superb. We need to pull our fingers out if we are to get a play-off place. Fingers crossed Nathan and BWP produce the goods.
