Sky are reporting that the Addicks are close to securing the signature of Oldham's Pawel Abbott: Abbott
The Polish ace was Oldham's top scorer last season, although he only found the back of the net 13 times which suggests he could be the new Deon Burton. He would, I think, be Charlton's first Polish player.
The Addicks are also being linked with a 'mystery' striker, the name of Marlon King having been mentioned, as well as Paul Benson at Dagenham and Redbridge.

Marlon King is up there with Robbie Savage,Craig Bellamy and Lee hughes, as player's I never want to see in a Charlton shirt.
I very much agree, fortunately it's just a rumour.
