If Charlton had been defeated in the Crown Berger Cup at Park View Road last night many people would be on their relegation riff, but a header from Akpo Sodje gave them a respectable 1-0 victory. It was a somewhat stronger side than that put out against AFC Wimbledon.
The main highlight of the night was the appearance of free agent Jon Fortune. I would be happy to see him back as he would be a capable defender and can also score the odd goal (as in sending Palace down).

Hear, hear we could do with Fortune at the back. Looks like we are in for interesting season. Maybe some of our youngsters will have a say in it.
