C'est Luzon avec Fraeye

Guy Luzon on Eurostar

Sources close to The Valley are claiming that Guy Luzon is to be appointed as the next coach with Karel Fraeye as his assistant. The Addickted have said that they he won't go on a Luzon streak, but you have to give the Guy a chance.

If the appointments go ahead it will be a coup for top fan Jonathan Acworth who was calling for the removal of Bob Peeters before his dismissal and his replacement by Luzon. Perhaps Acworth will be offered a role scouting non-league players for Charlton, so expect to see him at Cray Wanderers.

Luzon left Standard Liege after 18 months in charge in October after supporters rioted and demanded he was sacked following the club’s poor start to the season. Before his spell in Belgium, he spent three years as Israel Under-21 boss and he has also managed a number of clubs in Israel.

During his time in charge of Standard Liege, Luzon worked with Tony Watt, the former Celtic forward signed by Charlton last week. Watt has said he learned more in two months working under Luzon than he did in his final two years with Celtic.

THERE IS SO MUCH BS flying around.

The puppet Princess stating 'they would seek the best candidate but had already made a short list of 1.

Any word from Murray ?

What's Murray got to do with it. He's only there out of pity (and the fact the club owes him money). They aren't likely to consult Murray on anything.

They might roll him out to quell some fans anger however, and he'll do that like a good little puppy.

What a joke, keep on circulating all the losers you have from elsewhere, players, coaches etc.. If you bought Charlton to get to Premier League ,you are going to have a very long wait. Watch crowds disappear and supporters grow more and more annoyed with your actions.

Charlton are one of the means for RD to spout his football philosophy: network, no agents and buying potential ... But we aren't stupid; we can see past his puppet piece of eye candy. Luzon is a gamble, the future will be interesting.

What a joke,Richard Murray how can you continue to be Chairman/Director with all these people Slater,Jimenez and now Duchatelet playing with our Club. You have no say,you are just a puppet,do the right thing and resign.

So the official site is claiming SL won the league title - "in the regular season" under Luzon. Shameful.
And the 'puppet princess' just lost her credibility.

And he is Charlton's 24th manager, rather than 4th manager in 12 months. Puppet reporting.

I think you'll find it's not our club, but Mr Duchatlet's at the moment. Last season, people weren't happy because they thought RD didn't care if the club got relegated. Now, because he doesn't want Peeters to take us down, we are still not happy....

I first went to see CAFC in 1962 when they played the Poole in Div 1 and have followed them ever since.
We all know that CAFC supporters have shown the greatest patience and I've stuck with it recently though I've had my doubts, I now have none, this is enough. I feel treated with contempt and lied to. The manner in which they have done this is appalling. It's not about Peeters at all. It's about the fact that they can't even be bothered to be straight and honest with their own supporters, so they can just FUCK OFF. This is only Roland's club no one else's and Roland doesn't give a fuck about us and our traditions, so why should I care. I don't have a season ticket, so Roland take your Euros and shove em where the sun doesn't shine, English style.
Instead of 'The Red Robin', 'I Predict a Riot' should make him feel more at home. I just feel its a very sad day, resigned and angry.

If we finished top of the division lol I would still have a bad taste in my mouth.

Can't you see this is what's known as a PR disaster, it's not about managers. It's about lying to the paying public, not done, not ethical. Guy Luzon, till the end of the season then all change. This kind of club is never successful. Bad owner.

I've been supporting Charlton for over 50 years. Like most football fans everywhere I've gone through the good and the bad. But it has never been this ugly.

So many depressing comments and people living in the past - Bring Curbs back etc. That was then this is now - he's gone.
I would have preferred Bob Peeters to stay but he's gone and, even though I didn't agree, I can understand why. The last two games were VERY poor indeed and it wasn't that we lost but the manner in which we lost. Regardless of who's playing I did not see a winning mentality in the team that went on the field. That is not acceptable.
Guy Luzon is Head Coach now and we should support him. I agree with Katrien Meire "there is still a lot to play for this season and we want to try and ensure the 2014/15 campaign ends as successfully as it started." There was a lot of positivity at the beginning of the season and a couple of wins can point us the right way again. That's how I'm thinking and want the team to be thinking like that too...COYR!

Katrien Meire will be gone soon. Why, because she's either made statements that are unauthorised or she has been told what to say, then made to look a complete fool. By actions that are completely in contradiction to her statements. Sorry, bad owner = bad unprofessional, unsuccessful club.
Sad day.

Sacked in September by RD (following riots at SL), appointed at Charlton in January! Really strange strategy.

To Anon above, Luzon is contracted until the end of next season.

All those who believe you've been lied to or feel that you feel the club owe you answers!
Wake up smell the coffee know one forces you to support Cafc you choose to at your own expense,
So rather than reading constantly what your going to do and what players you would bring in get real
Put your money where your mouths are and buy the club and then and only then your relise how much it costs on a day to day cost!
I'm not one for blogs nor forums but having read some veiws of so called charlton fans I've got to say targeting individuals and name calling is just shallow and outright cowardly approach to the situation
There are many clubs in worst state than ours and less tolerant fans,
But they still attend and support and pay there money for the privilege
It's happened nothing you or I can do about it,
Move on!
COYR

i expect RD was as sick as I was of hearing Bob saying "There's nothing you can do about it"....

Yes he was sacked by rd but kept in the "network" ive heard he wants splash out around 5m for a big target man but finding the right player is extremely difficult with so many clubs wanting the same players fans also have to rem we must not spend over the ffp award otherwise the club will be fined hes already splashed out 4m on ventokele.Luzon did extremely well at liege in his first season aparantly he played attacking football and had the meanest defensive record in the division I think it went wrong for him when rd brought us by selling all the best players to our side ,liege slipped badly but I think the main game plan is to have all the best players at liege shipped over to us so I expect see the beast arriving and van damme the left back before rd flogs liege for around 50million euros.
a BID HAS ALREADY COME IN FANS WERE RIOTING SIMPLY BECAUSE THEY KNOW HE WANTS THE PREM MONEY WITH US SOME 120M IF WE ARE TO GET PROMOATED!I think rd will get it right and Luzon will as well but get behind the team and players and lets get behind the team next home game
