Lisbie for Palace?

Crystal Palace are interested in Colchester United and former Charlton striker Kevin Lisbie. Apparently, Neil Warnock's idea is that alongside Chris Iwelumo the deadly duo would strike fear in the heart of Championship defences. Or possibly photographers behind the goal.

What has Big Chris done wrong? Unlike a lot of other highly paid players he gives a 100% and did score some important goals last year. It is no surprise that when our playmaker was sold Big Chris got nothing other than a big hoof down the middle. The problem is not Big Chris, the problem is midfield. When is Pardew going to sort this out rather than his obsession with panning the lower leagues for a nugget of gold ?

He hasn't done much wrong, but he gets no protection from referees and there's nothing he can do differently to change that. Plus, we have two better target men in Todorov and Gray. If we can get > £500k for a player we got for free a year ago, we should sell.

If Chris goes so be it but I still maintain that we are not really sorting out the real problem. Will Todorov and Gray deal any better with the big hoof up the middle? Todorov is not the player he was and Gray has failed to impress since he arrived.

Grey had one good game last year at The Valley, the only problem was it was when he was playing for Burnley!

We need to sell, whether it be Chris, Majid or whoever before we can buy. The sooner we get one of the deals done (Preferably two Faye and Bent) the sooner we can get the central midfielder we need in.
